This hospital was opened in the spring of 2017 through the efforts of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and the participation of the Sarvar Charity Foundation to provide specialized and subspecialized services to children. The Akbar Children’s Medical, Educational, and Research Center is built and equipped on a land area of 100,000 square meters with an infrastructure of 22,000 square meters across 6 floors. The 250-bed subspecialized Akbar Children’s Hospital includes the following departments: Emergency, Infectious Diseases, Gastroenterology, Surgery, Nephrology, Asthma and Allergy, Rheumatology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Endocrinology, and Clinical Nutrition. Additionally, this center features specialized and subspecialized clinics, and paraclinical procedures including radiology, sonography, emergency laboratory, and central laboratory are performed in this center.
